Dan Bidois mentoring session streamed live from Tamaki College

An exciting event in the auditorium this morning at Tamaki College.
Dan Bidois, on behalf of the Sir Peter Blake Trust and Spark, held a mentoring session where he talked about leadership. The Year 12 students and some of the Year 9,10 and 11 students were invited to listen and ask questions. Our future leaders don't get chances like this very often and were keen to take the opportunity.

Here is the write up from the site ..
Dan Bidois, one of New Zealand’s greatest academic success stories, will be speaking to students in a live streamed event.
Dan is a successful international economist and policy maker, currently advising the government of Malaysia as a Fellow for the Malaysia Blue Ocean Strategy Institute. Prior to this Dan spent three years working as an economist for the OECD based in Paris, France, and he has also worked as a strategy consultant with Deloitte New Zealand.
Although at the age of 15 Dan dropped out of his Auckland high-school and shortly thereafter bet the odds to overcome cancer, today he holds a Bachelor in Commerce (Honours), a Bachelor of Arts and most recently he graduated from Harvard University with a Masters in Public Policy, as a New Zealand Fulbright Scholar.
Dan will be speaking about the importance of dreaming big, setting clear goals and actions and believing in yourself in the face of setbacks and failures.
